Shower set - button not working water running constantly

hello i have bought a new shower kit which has a shower value with twin output. one for ceiling head one for hand use. when the water supply is turned on water comes out both places and the on off switch does not work. The switch has 3 dials: left is ceiling, up is off and right is hand

You’ve piped it up wrong mains hot into the hot port, mains cold into the cold port

Left side top to one outlet
Right side top to the other outlet

i think the hot and cold pipes look correct. I'm unsure about the extra elbows that are used between the ceiling pipes and the hand shower pipe.

Sorry I misunderstood what you said I think we agree there's more pipes than there should be. Would this stop water running even if on off position thanks

Correct you shouldn’t tee them all together
