One of new floor tile is making a random clicking noise

450 x 450 porcelain tiles were laid on the bathroom floor recently. One of the tile sometimes makes a clicking noise.

We have wooden floor in the bathroom and tiler put the Becker boards with screws and put some liquid/paint on Becker board for waterproof and then used adhesive for tiles.

I was wondering if only that one tile needs to be removed and then put it back with more adhesive?

One of new floor tile is making a...

Tile up to or undercut door frames / linings?

Tile up to or undercut door frames / linings?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. I've got a lot of tiling to do in our self build and currently it's just the door linings in place, no architrave etc yet. Should the tiles be fitted up next to the door linings with a small expansion gap and then siliconed or should I cut the bottoms of the frames and slide the tiles underneath?

The latter would look better but isn't there the potential...

Skirting tile price

Skirting tile price

Hello one and all,
I have a 240m2 floor tiling job to price, including a tile upstand edged with tile trim, tiles 1m length, going into several rooms.

What i'm asking is if there is a standard linear metre rate, or base it on a day for estimated time taken.
I feel it needs to be a decent rate, as it mullers your back and big toe joints when doing them all day!

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Why do I have no hot water? Please help Discussion Thread

Hi
About 8 years ago the valve under the sink burst. Major flood. They capped the hot water pipe to the washer and apparently replumbed everything g else. Since then I had very low hot water pressure in kitchen through a single faucet double tap style tap with two flexi hose under the sink. I complained a lot and I was told by council it was the tap. But they...

Water in both sinks are going down slow Discussion Thread

Hi All,

I just had a question about something I noticed. Since last week my dishwasher is not working and beeping three time. According to internet this means that it means theres water in the base of the dishwasher activating the flood switch.
Funny enough water my sinks both in the kitchen AND the bathroom are going down very slow.
I wonder if this is related...

Evening all,

One of the lights in particular is a 12v 3W LED strip. I've tried to source a driver and battery backup box directly from the manufacturer...

Meaning of wire specs{/b}

I want to replace a wire with an identical one, except longer. The text on the wire is: 300V XUANSHI C(UL) SJTO 105C FT1 4X0.824MM2(18AWG) E257497. I showed this to the guy at Home Depot, and he told me it meant 18 gauge (which I already knew), but couldn't provide any other information. I'd appreciate any help.

1.2 x 1.2m large format tiles & Decoupling Mat?

1.2 x 1.2m large format tiles & Decoupling Mat?

Hi, I have 45m2 of 1.2 x 1.2 Mirage 9mm floor tiles to lay. Never done this size before. I’m planning to lay a decoupling mat prior - are there any recommendations? Some products say not suitable for large format or very small. I’d like to keep the total build up as low as possible as there’s only 16mm to the threshold of a sliding door, but obviously don’t want any issues. Will certainly end up slightly higher than that threshold I...
