Is the replacement of rad valves any different from the procedure for a normal vented system?

the heating circuit is the same as a closed system (combi).. turn off the boiler and programmer... drain down the circuit.. change valves.. fill system... bleed where possible... nice an easy..

It is possible to have an open vented heating circuit even if the cylinder is unvented.

filling loop, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve & expansion vessel = unvented / sealed system

F&E cistern = open vented.
