Any ideas on the a decent flush to wall close coupled toilet/brand? Should I just go for Victoria Plumb Orchard brand?
Just to clarify I'm not looking for a btw type with a hidden cistern. I'm looking for a flush to wall close coupled loo i.e.so you cant see soil pipe/so theres no open back/no...
Hi - I have an old (maybe 45 year old) Twyfords Close Coupled toilet. The cistern has cracked, and I'd like to replace just the cistern. I'm struggling to find anything described as a close coupled cistern which doesn't have the bolt holes. I was hoping to find one with no bolt holes and just...
I am about to re-unite a cistern with the pan and notice it has a few smallish (pin head size) bits of clay around the whole where the donut will go. They appear to be bits of clay fired on to the cistern.
simple question - should I sand them off? I have a new donut that’s identical to the old...
We have had the above for some 38 years. Now after flushing it fills right up to the rim almost overflowing and then VERY slowly the water level drops. Been looking into it and perhaps needs new Rubber Plumb Washer (Syphon Bomb) or Airex fitment or someone mentioned that when he inspected just...
As title really, need a “modern looking” wc that will fit cistern to wall as usual whilst using a saniaccess3.
I think I can do it with Burlington, but customer does not want the ‘traditional’ look ; just to be awkward ....
Any suggestions? (Tried and tested)
...that allows an unusually big distance from the wall to a soil pipe in the floor (i.e. for removing an older low level WC)?
I need 220mm but that may be a big ask, so as near to that as I can get. The wall can be built out a little before replastering but the more work the WC dimensions can...
Hello, I'm looking to install a concealed cistern toilet in to a bathroom I'm currently converting to a wetroom. I spotted a toilet that was on clearance for £10 and was just the style I was after, but I just want to know if its possible to conceal it? As its square on the sides I was going to...
This one has been in for a year now, it sorted out there existing heating system which had a pump on pump trying to get the water to circulate around the bottom to floors.
Only went there to investigate plastic pipework which had blown apart twice.
Hi Toilet are not m thing as some may know however I have replaced a fill valve on cistern whilst carrying out other work at a property and the gasket between the flush mechanism and the pan is a little tired. It measure approx 70mm id but all the ones I can seal are for a 1 1/2 thread which is...
I've just removed a leaky old S bend toilet from a downstairs loo.
It connected vertically to the floor and I'm not sure which toilet and connector to go for. Ideally I'd like a close coupled toilet so that we can get rid of the overflow but not sure if/how that will work with the position of...

Hi all,
Currently having new bathroom fitted. Toilet brand is as above. Fitter telling me there is no way to secure the flush on this particular brand of toilet so it doesn't turn around at the top. It is not secure, as I would have expected for quite a pricey bog!!!
Any advice please??
Hello,
I've accidentally purchased an Armitage Shanks S392001 universal close coupled cistern when I should have bought something like the S390001 low level cistern, which is what I need.
Irritatingly, I opened all the packaging before I realized so I won't be able to return it :bigcry:
Given...
We've installed a new close coupled wc in the bathroom. It is the type which have a rubber doughnut washer on the flush valve outlet to seal the flushing water flowing from the cistern flush valve to the pan, and two long plastic bolts which feed through two holes in the cistern bottom through...

Hi
I'm new - let me know if I do anything wrong :)
I'm replacing a soft close toilet seat on a close coupled toilet but the seat won't stay up .
I think it maybe because the cistern will not let the seat open far entought ( + 90 degrees).
I seat I tried to fit was one from screwfix a make...
