I have recently moved in to a house with oil central heating.
There is an MA1 mid-position valve, HTS3 cylinder thermostat and a Lifestyle LP522 programmer.
The problem is that the water in the cylinder gets too hot.
The cylinder thermostat is working correctly - moving the valve to the CH...

With the weight loss? Anyone still having a go? Between weddings, food festivals, birthdays and a trip to london I've put 1/2 a stone back on! I had a lot of fun doing so though ;-)
I am thinking of changing my conventional boiler to a combi.
I understand the tanks in the attic have to be cut off and water tank done away with, pipes stop ended etc.
but i am looking for a rough idea on cost for labour and materials excluding price of a combi as i will supply myself...
Customer has just had a new bathroom fitted. Basin waste runs directly into an unvented soil stack. As a consequence as the basin drains it makes an awful gurgling sound. I have done away with the bottle trap that bathroom installer used and fitted an anti vac pedestal trap. When I left all...
Said it before think there is money in utilities but whats the actual score ? How do you get started in it ? Say fitting water meters or gas meters do you just complete course sign business into the lloyds register and start bidding on sub contracting contracts ?
What about supply pipework etc...
Hi All,
I recently replaced the bathroom in my house and replaced the old bath with a bath/shower mixer tap. The pressure was very low (gravity fed system) so I removed the check valves that i had fitted previously but there was no improvement so I got a plumber to install a salamender...
