Hello,
Around 3-4 weeks ago I noticed the TPV overflow pipe at the back of the house was dripping and the system pressure had increased to 3 bar. I bled the radiators (no trapped air) and then ran off some water from a downstairs radiator. Initially this did the trick and the pressure dropped...

I currently have a gravity feed system.
In the very near future I am adding a loft extension to my property so the 2 cold water tanks in my London roof will have to be removed.
I seek a plumbing/engineer to visit my property to give me advice and possible options in upgrading my existing...

Hi, we have really good water pressure where we live. But that in turn has left us with very noisy taps in the bathrooms.
At the moment we have Blade taps from the Bathstore - Blade Basin Mono Mini Mixer | bathstore. They have aerators but our water certainly isn't aerated. The taps are...

Don't know anything about them. She has heart set on overhead drencher type shower requiring combi/HP set up. Didn't have time to measure pressure but kitchen hot seemed to have very decent oomph when turning it on.

Hi, I have a Ferroli Optimax HE 31C boiler.
After switching on, it returns the error code F37, as dictated in the manual, which is for low pressure.
However, I have already released the pressure valve and topped up to around 2.5 bars and it still returns this error (initially at 1.4bars...

Hi,
I have a Potterton 24 he eco boiler and have noticed the pressure getting quite high when the heating is on.
When cold the pressure is set 1 bar. When the heating is on it rises to around 2.5 - 3 bar.
When the hot water is on it goes to 1.5 bar.
It is quite possible it has...
Hi guys
I have a problem with a glow worm beta com 30. The fault is that the pressure keeps on rising above 3 bar. The fill line is disconnected so no water passing there. I have to release the pressure down to 1.5 bar via the the relief valve every other day it seems.
I'm thinking that...
Hi, can anyone shed any light on this fault? Potterton Performa 28, 13 years old. CH pressure rises from 1.5 to 3 bar in the space of 10 minutes. Radiators all heat up as normal. CH circuit turned off, pressure drops back to normal. HW circuit operates as normal with no significant rise in pressure.
Worcester greenstar heatslave 18/25 internal oil boiler.
Last week the pressure dropped very low over a few days, took door off, shone torch inside and big drip drip drip on water pipe, so I let it go cold and nipped up the nut. Good no more leak.
But pressure rose quickly to 3 bar and I...

hi there! im putting a few high pressure cylinders in some flats all running off a single maina. can you put a pump on the hot water outlet of cylinder if flow rate is too low? anyway of increasing pressure without altering mains pipe? can anyon help? cheers mateys!
I was preparing to remove a downstairs radiator as it showed signs of having sludge last winter and was going to install a TRV and new lockshield at the same time. I needed to check which way the flow was as the radiator has 2 what look like identical valves. I therefore put the heating on for...

Hi
Just hoped I could get some advice before calling an engineer out.
I have a Vaillant ecotec plus 831 combi boiler. When cold the pressure is 1.0 bar, however when I turn the central heating on the pressure rises to 2.8 bar.
Is this rise normal for this boiler or is it the expansion vessel...
Hi!
I was hoping someone may be able to offer me some advice!
The pressure gauge on my alpha he cb25 boiler was very high. I tried bleeding the radiators to no effect. Instructions on the boiler suggested reducing the amount of water inthe radiators. As I did this the pressure went down slowly...
The pressure is currently showing at 2 bar - is it OK to run it at this pressure, and if not how can I reduce the pressure (or is this a job for the engineer)? Many thanks.

I have a traditional vented layout with F/E tanks and HW cylinder but can the old boiler still be used if I were to convert to unvented?
It's a Worcester condensing boiler and given no trouble since it's installation (2008) so I'm reluctant to change it for the sake of it or should I just...
