Hello, can anyone tell if it is ok to use a wall plate adapter or maybe a straight coupler to connect 2 cooker hoses together, i need to raise the cooker up higher than the current hose will allow. thanks for any replies
I just had my gas cooker installed and noticed the hose slightly touches the bottom part of the oven - is that fine or should the hose not be touching the cooker at all?
A customer has a Carronite Torino bath (that I have narrowed it down to having searched about). The taps and shower hose are on the rear side of the bath, with the front panel and the side shelves (not visible on the picture) tiled. The shower hose has split and so leaks water downstairs.

Hi,
I'm finishing fitting a concealed mixer shower (Stud wall & false ceiling). I've wet tested the main shower head that drops from the ceiling and all is well.
The shower also has a secondary outlet for a hand held shower head. The connection has me puzzled.
There is a half inch male...
Hello all.
I'm looking to make a permanent under sink hose connection by using the washing machine cold water feed.
I've bought a Y piece that will split the feed, and now I need to buy all the hose fittings that need to go on to this. I understand that I will need to place a non return...

Anyway previous plumber had managed to squeeze 5mm onto the trap spigot and jubilee clipped it's brains out. Hung on for a month and then popped off.
Not seen this before so don't know if what I did would be considered a temp or permanent fix. I left her to do "a...
I have new kitchen done about 1 year ago, since then, one of cabinet unit always produces a very bad smell from time to time. Right next to this cabinet, there is a washing machine, this washing machine drain hose join the drain pipe in this cabinet. Until recently, a plumber came and looked...
A hole the size of a coin has appeared in the corrugated, flexible, outlet hose of my dishwasher. The perpetrator, a mouse I presume. Any ideas how to repair it? The dishwasher is a Bosch. Thanks.
Don't know if this has been done, but hosepipe ban is looming for everyone in south east, my question is, how will this effect plumbers,

Any guys familiar with the rubber hose leaks on Vaillant ecoTec Plus combi. I cant find replacement part numbers online? Are the replacements rubber hoses also? Its the left hand side hose leaking, do i have to replace the rear hose (right hand too). Thanks
Well, I've piped up loads of these b*ggers but this one's got me beat! I've replaced a washing machine hose for a customer but on the 3/4 inch mains feed side the thing's leaking from the joint where the plastic nut meets the pipe. It's the tiniest of leaks but a leak's a leak. The washer looks...
I purchased a new dishwasher recently, thinking that there was a cold water supply i could attach to. Unfortunately, there was only 1 supply valve which was being used by the washing machine.
So i had to create a new supply.
I purchased a self cutting 15mm isolating valve but the end of the...

Hi
More than 10 years ago I designed and installed my own Central Heating ( for better or worse, but so far no problems )
All the radiators had TVRs and Drain Off valves fitted that have 10mm / 3/8" drain off spigots.
The time has come ( first time ) to flush and drain the system to remove any...
Hello
Sorry I wasn't sure where to post or how relevant my question is but it's kind of related!
We have a very large custom built bath where we rent, too big to fill and too expensive, not to mention totally inappropriate for a baby and a toddler!
I have been looking for a rubber shower...
I had a house built three years ago and 9 months ago a flexible hose in my sons ensuite split. The hose that split was the flexible from the copper feed to the cistern. We have a pressurised cistern. Fortunately we were in bed and turned the mains off before we had too much damage. We assumed we...
