Hi,
I am trying to increase the pressure in my gas boiler and was under the assumption it just involved opening these two small black valves. I have tried this but the pressure gauge on the boiler hasn't budged? Anyone know why this is?

Ive extended my house and need to run the plumbing, I will tee off from the main house which is 15mm, I'm wondering if it's worth increasing it to 22mm with 15mm tee offs to the outlets, or should I just keep it all 15mm, I'm wanting water pressure and volume to be better if multiple outlets are...
I have a unit (1 of 3), and mine is furtherest from the road. I have fairly crap water pressure and have had the water corp out, who agree its crap, but claim its due to the distance from the mains. Is there something that can be done to increase water pressure?

Hi,
We have a potterton apollo boiler and it's showing a E1 fault due to a drop in pressure.
Normally I just pull down the green lever inside to increase the pressure but zilch is happening when I do this.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I have installed an outside hot tap along side a cold one. The idea being that I could set up a mixer using hoselock fittings so I have a wArm water to clean the dogs outside in winter. However as i suspected the cold mains pressure over powers the weak hot pressure we have, so it doesn’t...

Hi
I've just moved in to my first home and I'm a total novice with boilers and central heating systems.
All I ask is which valves in the pic do I turn to keep pressure at 1.5?
I have been using Gas Engineer Software (trademark name) for a few years. I really like the app as it is a great aid for invoicing, books etc... The past couple of years the cost has increased. If memory serves is was £70, then up to £90 and this year to over £200! It's over a 100% increase...
As long as you're willing to put in the work on the forum I can't help you get your like ratios up.
I'm adding some 'Like' buttons that will add + 3 Likes per 1 button press. Esteemed will be able to give these out. But not abuse them! They risk losing all of theirs and starting again with...
hi there. My heating system is gradually increasing in pressure measured when the system has not been running for say 8 hours. I measure this at the same time ie 5 pm each day when the system is cold. Over a ten day period the pressure has gone from 1.5 bars to 1.7 bars. It’s not the filling...
Have a landlord with no gas and combination tanks with immersions for hot water. He wants to increase the efficiency rating for the house so wants suggestions with replacing these with something else.
Hi all,
My Logic System 15 boiler has lost water pressure, the central heating has stopped working and I cant figure out how to top it up.

I have fitted a shower tray using the drain provided which has a 40mm drain. The drain is not coping with the output of water from the shower head. If I fit a larger diameter pipe to the 40mm outlet, will this increase the volume of water being drained? - even though it will start by exiting...

Hi lads.
Just realised I'm about to remove a Potterton combi which has 15mm gas feed.
A MAIN combi going for installation and the pipe size is 22mm
Pipework is totally concealed atm and there's about a 1500mm of 15mm accessible pipe run to the old Potterton
Is there such a fitting or a...
I live in a flat where the cylinder is located in a closet. Last year I had a shower mixer installed. Unfortunately there is not enough hot water pressure so we are unable to use the shower. I was told that a pump can be installed either in the closet or under the tub which will remedy the...
