Hi I have a question, I want my flat to be separately connected to the mains water supply for water coming into my kitchen and bathroom instead of sharing the same pipework as my neighbours. Is this doable and if so is it the water board who will carry this out or a plumber?
My flat has shared...
Need to remove a bathroom radiator for retiling work but stuck on this connector between the plastic pipe coming out of the wall and the metal elbow that connects to the radiator proper.
It will turn 360 degrees but is not screwed. No matter how hard i pull on it, it won't separate. Do i just...
Would it be a big job? Would floorboards have to be taken up etc? How long would it take? Each unit is a single-person flat. Would tenants have to move while it's done, or could it be done in a short time...say within a day?
It's an old building - heating is from 70s or 80s. The type of heating...

Is it acceptable to tee the boilers prv in to the central heating flow or return under the boiler. If say fit in a cellar and no drain. And fit an 3 bar prv on the C/H pipework higher up where the pipe can be exited above ground level outside. Thanks.

as our separate hot tap is dripping contacted Bristan to ask what washer to get as heard that depending on date bought, washers either rubber or fibre. Bristan said that they do not supply individual washers but only complete valve assemblies. sure that I have seen Bristan washers on the...
In an effort to control my extremely high gas consumption, I turned down the "flow setpoint" temperature on my Keston Heat 55 boiler from 70 degrees to 48 degrees.
I have underfloor heating and this new temperature seems to be high enough for that, at least for now. The boiler also heats water...

I was wondering if anyone would have any advice on our cold sunroom. Basically the room is the coldest in the house. It is off the kitchen and separated by two double doors. However, we barely use it during the winter because of how cold it gets.
There's a long double radiator in the room...
