I'm renovating a house. Can barely get ANY tradesman (I need alot of work done). Did all my own electrics - now for plumbing!

I want to use six 4-rail manifolds(pictured) to run 10 radiators. 3 for flow, 3 for return attached to 22mm. Located in a central place (under landing floorboards) then 15mm speedfit to each rad. I like the idea of a central connection as the landing will be laid with carpet that can be pulled up. The tiles and laminate flooring in the other rooms cannot (well, without cost anyways!)!

Good? Bad?

The CH is holding up things. These days, anything I can do myself, I will do it. I can push some pipes together! And, TBH, I can chase the walls (downstairs will need that as there's a concrete slab) and bury the pipes properly. I honestly don't have a plumber I know and trust to do this properly.

Oh, and a new boiler will be installed when I can finally get a plumber.

Thanks a lot.
David

That’s fine just use home runs (no joints other than manifold or rad) and mark each pair back to a central spot

Good or bad?
Good for future maintenance
Bad if you need to drill dozens of holes in joists and will probably use lots more pipe
Using routes from the previous install👍

Plumber was only 144 per radiator, chased. That was an estimate though, not a quote.

I won't even save much, but done right guaranteed. And I'll learn for the next house!

Cheers
