Recently offered a customer the option in their open plan living area radiator you guessed it now doing the whole house anyone offer their customer a choice . Kop

No. I never have offered to use chromed copper pipes to radiators except in bathrooms, or where a customer insists.
Too much bother to remove chrome off pipes for soldering.
Pipes coming out of a wall and with soldered elbow on show are different though and require chrome pipe and elbows for neatness.
Personally I use the snap on pipe covers - chrome or stainless look on rad and other pipes if needed. I think they give identical look and easy to replace if ever damaged.
I doubt if most people can tell the difference between chromed pipe and chrome pipe covers on vertical pipe tails to rad valves if the covers are carefully cut and trimmed.
I know we plumbers can perhaps recognise pipes with pipe covers due to the slightly wider look of the pipe, but customers won't.
