Hello everyone,

I've got an older style bathtub drain lever that I can't seem to find much information about. I was attempting to snake my drain but I can't get the linkage out of the overflow pipe, so the snake just goes down the overflow pipe and out the tub drain.

I didn't want to just start unscrewing and wrenching things that aren't meant to be wrenched for fear of breaking this older and mostly inaccessible plumbing. It's on the 2nd floor of my house and I would have to cut holes in the ceiling and/or bathroom wall in order to access the pipes.

Here is a link to some pics (Upstairs Bathroom Drain – Google Drive - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1p-H1a20i5jQRQHgo78Z8X9KB4YJQmBP5?usp=sharing) I was able to find online of the same drain as well as some that I took. I just couldn't find anything else out that would help with its removal. I was hoping someone here had some experience with this style and some advice for removal. Any help or advice would be very welcome.

Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out.

Best,

Dave
