I live in an apartment with a cold water tank. The cold water tank feeds the cold water tap in the sink and the bath. Recently, I refurbished my bathroom, and according to the plumber who fitted the new taps, high-pressure taps were fitted. Consequently, the water from taps is of a low volume and rate. I wonder if the main water supply could supply them? Please let me know if this is possible. The plumber who fitted them said there was a reason it could not be done, but I can’t remember what he said. There appears to be no good reason for the cold water tank. If it helps, the apartment was built in 1986.

I also wish to dispense with the immersion heater, but I am interested in installing a device that would provide instant hot water for a bath, handwashing, or shaving.

If you have any questions, ask away. Hopefully, I can answer them.
