I have this pipe work running to my existing basin, using the old Osma Gold fittings/pipe.

I would like to replace this with JG speedfit and/or copper.

I intend to cut it off and reroute it to make it all neat, but am not sure about compatibility. I will have a bare end of old Osma Gold 15mm grey pipe

Given that Osma Gold is discontinued, I can't find details of the inserts etc needed.

How would you convert this pipe work into a more modern/conventional format?

the osma pipe like all plastic pushfit is 15mm external. you can use any brand of fitting on it, the important thing is the insert as plastic pipe wall thickness differs from one manufacturer to another. Ideally you want to use the correct brands insert but sometimes you cant and have to try other brands to find one thats a tight fit without having to whack it into the pipe.

sometimes you can get the inserts out of the existing pipework thats being removed and reuse them.

Thanks all! I've bought some circlip pliers to unscrew the fittings and then will pull out the inserts.

Given that there are loads of fittings in this space, I'll try to get as many as I can, and keep them as spares for future jobs.

Plastic fittings/pipe is all well and good until they stop making it!
