Hi

Just looking to pick some brain's, I'm doing some second fixing, the contractor has a rig sent up of testing with a cube of water and a multi stage pump to fill a storage tank in the roofspace feeding a booster pump, but is there a better was of transferring the water from cube to storage tank?

Thanks in advance

What? Am I being thick? What are trying to achieve? What is actually being done?

What do you mean by cube of water?

I’m guessing the water isn’t on and they want to test the systems

So there using an ibc and a pump to pump the water from the ground where they have temp water upto the loft tank etc

What I had in mind.

If they’re on second fix, I’d assume the loft tank pipework is in, so just attach a hose pipe to tank feed?

Might not have enough pressure to get up there

If you want to test the system for leaks why not use a proper purpose made hand pump water pressure tester with guage? Use push fits to link / cap all ends of pipes and away you go. Pump it up with water and check gauge 12 hours later to see if any PSI lost.
