I have a towel rail style radiator in the bathroom with straight through taps.
I have noticed tonight one of the valves has started dripping. I can sort some new valves but the other valve that isn't leaking appears to be stuck open.
How do I best drain the radiator to change the valves given...
Hi There just wondering what this sound could be. It’s defo coming from the radiator as when I push or shake the radiator it stops. However it comes back eventually. It’s like a click noise. I have time stamped when it happens in this video. Please IGNORE THE WIND NOISE as that is clearly coming...
I had my combi fitted approx 10 years ago, Trvs fitted to all rads apart from one in the bathroom and the end of the loop before the return, installer said that that radiator could never be turned off because it would prevent return flow, I understand that, however can i fit a Trv on it to...
Hi, hoping for some advice with radiators that I don't seem to be able to bleed.
This is my second winter in a new build. The towel rail was making a knocking/pinging noise last winter so when I recently had my boiler serviced the engineer adjusted some screws on the rail itself and it's...
Afternoon,
Recently had a new boiler fitted with new radiators, old radiators were the old steel type. The installer recommended reducing the size as the new panels are more efficient, which we were happy to do.
Now, I believe that for the output of the boiler the radiators are too small/not...
Hello,
Can anyone give any advice please? Our bathroom radiator won’t heat up. It’s a column radiator from Victorian Plumbing - only 2 years old - and has manual cross-head angled valves.
it’s been like this for a while and we are trying to fix it. We’ve previously removed the radiator and...
I'm sure this sort of topic has been discussed to death & believe me, I've tried everything to resolve it, but failed...

Hi all,
Just found this forum and it looks great! Forgive me if I could have found this answer by looking longer—I've searched for a while.
I am in a cold walk-up apartment on the 4th floor of a turn-of-the-century building in Brooklyn. Not sure how old the heating/boiler system is. In my...

Can a Reina Neva Vertical Double Designer Radiator 1800x472mm which is labelled front and back be turned around and still function optimally?
I have one which is dented on the front so would like to turn it front to the wall. I have been given conflicting advice whether this is...
My bathroom radiator is very hot in a small room and I would like to shut it off but can’t work out how. There are two valves one at each side at the bottom with a small prong sticking out of each one. I don’t know what the difference is between them or even if that is what I have to turn or how!
I am having problems finding a thermostat for my radiator. The radiator is a Purmo radiator and is about 15 years old. I have tried two replacements but none have fitted.
When replacing 500x900 ( single) radiator with exactly the same size but double the boiler pressure drops. Is this because the radiator requires more water than the original?
Hi, I want to change my bedroom radiator (900x500) single. Too exactly the same measurement but a double is it literally a case of one off new one on? I want to check before I buy it. Any advice I will appreciate thanks :)
Good evening all,
Today I removed a bedroom radiator and capped off the ends. I started with the full works - boiler switched off, drained system, removed radiator and then filled up the system. I then bled the radiators and returned the boiler pressure back to 1.5. Turned the boiler back on...
