I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

Just got back in from doing an outside tap for somebody at the top of the road, also re sealed a shower enclosure that was leaking. Upshot is pricing to do their main bathroom and the ensuite and the kitchen floor.

Got a nice new soil stack to put in tomorrow ready for the new extension to go up. Better remember the thermal socks.

Not much chance of matching up a replacement cistern for this pan the customer broke it trying to repair a leaking doughnut one turn to many on the bolts and he got very wet 🤣, carpet in a cloakroom not a good idea? I had a box of Malmo flooring left over from another project so put that down , then fitted a new toilet struggled to get anything decent from my supplier in stock so ended up fitting this Ideal Standard pan from B&Q 5 year warranty on it quality components in the cistern £116 which is a good price looks alot better in my opinion. A bathroom refurb to start Monday. Cheers Kop

Screwfix do similar or the same, Ideal Standard Della Close Coupled Toilet Dual-Flush 6Ltr - https://www.NoLinkingToThis/p/ideal-standard-della-close-coupled-toilet-dual-flush-6ltr/6779j it's a few more quid.

Fitted one recently, nice bit of kit, it's rimless too.

I hate the plastic bolts that come with the cheap tat cc wc's they don't have a back nut to tighten the bolts to the cistern!

Aye, I like to attach the bolts to the cistern first. I normally have a couple of spare sets on the van to replace the plastic ones.

Shouldn’t they be connected via a flex ? Most of the ones I’ve done say in the mi connect via a flex

Don’t you love customers

changed a port valve on an unvented cylinder last week (stuck open ) causing too hot water

got a phone call tonight now the boiler won’t work ideal icos (fl fault) so are you coming out now to fix it :D Can’t wait till Monday

Do you reckon frozen condensate?

tries to light then goes out so my bet would be electrodes as if condy shouldn’t be getting to spark as fan pressure should kick it off

but then again when was it last serviced (proper)

Family bathroom started today chaps. regards Kop

4 new rads in a house today. 3 upstairs and the other downstairs into the concrete.
Then nipped off to a heating not working goosed 2 port and back to one of the services I did yesterday, no hot water. The flaming flow switch connector had pulled out the board when I'd slid the control panel back in. Loose on pins, quick bend of the pins and a tie wrap later, sorted.

Tomorrow is to rip out a neutraliser as stove is coming out and convert to a plan.

Anybody else had messages about creating videos? No thanks.

I'll stick to just in the arms me thinks.

Hmmm anyone guess the manufacturer
