I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

Nice job Simon how many days did that take bud ?? Cheers kop
Cheers. 5 weeks. Everything moved, single storey extension on back making it nigh on impossible to get at what used to be the external pipes and things arriving not as what the customer told me originally.
Start a nice 4 day bathroom tomorrow. Bath out, free standing one in and replace the pine cladding behind it. New toilet, new basin and a little 760 square shower cubby hole that's getting wet walled.

I am finding jobs are taking longer than expected mate the finishing touches seem to take forever 😅 people really don't appreciate how much work goes onto these, i used to be able to do one in 2-3 weeks 5-6 k parts and labour now creeping like you 4-5 weeks but the extra time is not relative to the labour cost i find it hard to charge more than 3.5 k for labour in my area break it down into day rate then it not great how do you work out the labour cost ?? Regards Wayne ( kop)

Labour is normally 2 to 3 weeks. Customer knows this one is going way over. Will sit down tonight and do the invoice for them.

I’m sure I can count the number of bathrooms that I have run to schedule on one hand.

This next ones not looking good. It's less than 2 miles away. Shredded a tyre on the van going over this morning. Put the spare on and shredded that coming home tonight.

On the plus side, when I've pulled out the old bath the pine cladding and skirting board I thought I would have to patch up is all intact. Bonus.

Not too bad happy with this one took 2 days inc a few new radiators

Are those filters good?

there great the only grumble I was having with myself you have to use the slip coupling which is where I think ADEY missed a trick it’s 3/4 instead of 22mm compression threads

Was it under warranty?
How are they replaced?
These were wired to a plug so can’t just swap with a standard 2 port

Thanks for the heads up.
I was quite impressed with the setup, comes with honeywell valves and the wiring centre made it easy to connect, I didnt need to involve an electrician. Could have done with lockshield/gate valve on the hot water return to throttle it down a bit but no space to cut one in.
Cost less to buy the pre plumbed than a standard cylinder and all the bits.

I hate those ESI valves. I have fitted a couple of those cylinders which come with them and both have had a valve which has leaked from the spindle in about 2 years. Not impressed.
